President Ferrini-Mundy Hosts MCSPC Faculty Fellows and Legislators

Hockey Players at FaceoffUniversity of Maine President Joan Ferrini-Mundy hosted the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center’s Faculty Fellows as well as several legislators at a networking reception and Maine Black Bear Hockey game on Friday, February 14.

The Faculty Fellows program at the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center creates a network of trained faculty leaders who can communicate the importance of the University of Maine System and its research and education to Maine citizens and organizations. The fellows serve as ambassadors to the legislature, business, and the wider community. The faculty are selected from University of Maine System campuses and are trained in core leadership and communication skills.

Faculty Fellows and legislators networked with one another and discussed the important work of the University of Maine System as well as policymaking matters over hors d’oeuvres at Wells Conference Center.
