Alexis Johnson

Alexis is a research assistant at the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center, where she is actively involved in extracting and inputting valuable information into the National Violent Death Reporting System(NVDRS). She helps ensure data accuracy and completeness, enabling researchers and policymakers to gain critical insights into violent deaths and accidental overdoses and develop effective prevention strategies. Alexis began working at the policy center in 2020 after obtaining her BA in Sociology with a concentration in Crime, Law, and Justice. She looks to continue her education by pursuing a Master’s in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
