Season 5, Episode 1 of Maine Policy Matters is Available Now

The Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center at the University of Maine has launched Season 5 of their podcast, Maine Policy Matters. Created to make public policy information more accessible to policymakers; government, business and nonprofit leaders; and the general public, Maine Policy Matters features interviews with experts on timely topics relevant to the state of Maine. Season 5 episodes will include panel discussions on Maine’s waste management, Maine tourism, and the importance of the humanities, among others.

Episode 1 of Season 5 is titled “From Moose to Mainers, the State of Ticks in Maine”, wherein moose biologist Lee Kantar and UMaine Tick Lab manager Griffin Dill are interviewed. Each episode of Maine Policy Matters is available on all audio streaming platforms, such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Soundcloud. The podcast is now also available on MCSPC’s YouTube Channel. Season 5 is projected to have 7 episodes, ending on April 23, 2024. You can also find episodes and full transcripts on the Maine Policy Matters website.

The Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center is a nonpartisan, independent research and public service unit of the University of Maine. The MCS Policy Center contributes to the quality of public dialogue concerning local, state, regional, and national policy issues through applied policy research and engagement with the community.
