Jamie Wren

Jamie Wren oversees the collection data on drug-related and violence-related deaths in the state of Maine. His research interests include: factors contributing to suicidality in rural areas; opioid-related mortality; skeletal impacts of substance use; and forensic death investigation. Jamie is currently a doctoral student in the University of Maine’s Interdisciplinary PhD program, examining the effects of chronic alcohol use on the human skeleton. He began working with the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center in 2010 as a student researcher, joining the Center’s staff as a Research Associate in 2015.
