Spring 2020 Issue of Maine Policy Review Now Available

The spring 2020 issue of Maine Policy Review (Volume 29, No. 1), presenting articles on a range of issues affecting Maine, is now available on MPR’s Digital Commons site. A brief look at this issue is available on MPR’s website.

The new issue includes commentaries on the social safety net and inequality in Maine and Maine’s connections to the Arctic. It also includes articles on nursing home closures in Maine, workforce development, Maine’s emerging wine industry, and worker safety in Maine boatyards. The issue’s Margaret Chase Smith essay focuses on the role of UMaine and its regional campus in Machias in the state’s economic development strategy, written by President Joan Ferrini-Mundy. The spring 2020 issue also includes regular columns by Executive Editor Linda Silka and Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center’s Daniel Soucier.

Maine Policy Review publishes independent, peer-reviewed analyses of public policy issues important to the state. Archival issues are also available on MPR’s Digital Commons.
