Alex Rezk

Alex joined the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center in 2018. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Anthropology and Environmental Policy at The University of Maine. His research interests focus on the human dimensions of climate change. Specifically, his dissertation research explores issues of disaster and risk management in the context of coastal planning and the development of adaptation discourse in international forums of climate policy. At the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center, Alex works on various projects related to NVDRS and the Opioid Crisis, as well as other public health and community policy initiatives such as a needs assessments of Hancock County’s Volunteer Fire Service.
