Genesis Hart – Gaining Confidence, Developing Relationships, and Finding a New Appreciation for the State of Maine
New Jersey native Genesis Hart, a business administration and liberal arts major at Northern Maine Community College in Presque Isle, describes how the Maine NEW Leadership Program impacted her overall world view. The program allowed her to develop new relationships and network with a variety of people. This created an eye-opening experience that allowed her to learn new things about herself, discover what she has the ability to accomplish, and move forward with a new level of confidence. She also discovered the wide-range of opportunities that exist in the state of Maine as well as the diversity of opinions and mindsets that can be found here. This gave Genesis a new appreciation for Maine and fostered a desire to give back to the state which has provided her with fantastic educational opportunities.
