Spring 2019 issue of Maine Policy Review now available

The spring 2019 issue of Maine Policy Review (Volume 28, No. 1) presents articles on a range of issues affecting Maine. In the issue’s Margaret Chase Smith Essay, transplanted Mainer and college student Matthew Bourque reflects on the strength and character of Maine’s political tradition. The issue also include the reflections of Executive Editor Linda Silka on recurring themes found in the pages of Maine Policy Review.

This issue includes commentaries on independent political parties, the status of bonds in the 2018 election, and a response to a commentary on universal basic income from MPR 27(2). It also includes articles on artificial intelligence and Maine’s Workforce, twenty-first-century language education at the University of Maine, Maine Woods tourism, health status among Maine’s low-income childless adults, recess and physical education weather policies, and circular food systems
