Maine Policy Scholars: Now Accepting Applications for 2015-2016

Applications are now being accepted for the Maine Policy Scholars program. It is open to juniors and seniors from all majors and provides substantial financial and research support to a student undertaking applied research on a Maine policy issue.

Policy Scholars are students who become involved in the front lines of public policy in Maine. Students from across the University of Maine System gather with the Maine’s other Policy Scholars to learn about policy research, participate in colloquia, and present their research ideas and findings. Some Policy Scholars have testified to the state legislature about their findings and recommendations. Maine Public Policy Scholars receive a scholarship of $1500 plus up to $1000 for research expenses and can earn 6 hours of credit.
