Sorg Selected One of Twelve Sentinel Epidemiologists Nationally

Marcella Sorg has been selected to be one of 12 Sentinel Community Epidemiologists nationwide for the National Drug Early Warning System of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). These select epidemiologists will monitor, analyze and report emerging drug trends for the country. Sorg will be monitoring Maine, including data on drug involvement in overdose deaths, addiction treatment, drugged driving, and law enforcement arrests and drug seizures. This project is a continuation of the work Sorg has been doing with NIDA since 2003.
