University of Maine Alumnus Charles Stanhope

Charles Stanhope, a UMaine Alumnus, is recently retired from his public service career at the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution, the Library of Congress. He served the library as assistant chief operating officer, working alongside Librarian James H. Billington on executive matters of congressional, legal, and public affairs, as well as private sector fund-raising and donor cultivation.

A day with us at UMaine
Charles Stanhope will be at the University of Maine for one and half days, with research tours on April 23rd, and a full day of activities on April 24, 2014, including meeting with groups of UMaine faculty and students, tours of UMaine facilities, and making class presentations.
