Mary Cathcart and Chris Rector speak on campus
As part of the course POS 362-Maine Government, former Maine legislators Mary Cathcart and Chris Rector were on campus on Thursday, February 6th. Cathcart and Rector discussed their time in the Maine State Legislature, as well as their reflections on Maine state politics past, present and future.
Mary Cathcart currently serves as a Senior Policy Associate at the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center. Prior to this, she served three terms in the Maine House of Representatives and four terms as a Maine State Senator. She is an inductee of the Maine Women’s Hall of Fame. Chris Rector is currently the Regional Representative for US Senator Angus King. Rector served three terms in the Maine House of Representatives and two terms in the Maine State Senate. He has been a member of the Maine Economic Growth Council and The Community Preservation Advisory Committee.
