As Executive Director of the Frances Perkins Center, Laura Fortman leads an organization dedicated to the history of Frances Perkins’ career and the New Deal era. The Frances Perkins Center is dedicated to fulfill the legacy of Frances Perkins, principal architect of the New Deal, by continuing her work for social and economic justice and preserving for future generations her nationally significant family homestead.

A day with us at UMaine

Laura Fortman will be at the University of Maine for a full day of activities on October 30, 2012, including meeting with groups of UMaine faculty and students, tours of UMaine facilities, and making class presentations.
