Abstract:

Poverty in Maine Updates are published twice yearly with support from the ten Community Action agencies of Maine Community Action Association.  The April 2009 issue reports on increases in Maine poverty indicators -- individual poverty rate estimates, trends in foodstamp use, and the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
